Lightbulb Highlight Folders?

Hi all!

This is not really Installation-related, but I didn't find another forum where this could be posted ;-)

Is it somehow possible to highlight folders in the Web Client that contain subfolders with unread mails? IMHO this is a standard behaviour in mail clients...
I have some subfolders that I don't check on a regular basis, but when something new arrives in theses subfolders I see them a few days later.
Would be great if this was implemented!

Bye, Stephan

You'll need to upgrade to the most recent version of Zimbra for that feature, it displays how many unread messages and makes the folder name 'bold'. You'll also see the message in your inbox, read it from there and it's marked as read and the 'copy' (it's not a copy really) goes from the inbox.

So this was added in 5.0.5? I have 5.0.4 running...

I don't think that I understand your answer - maybe I'm getting it wrong.
I know that a folder with unread mails is printed in bold and with the number of unread mails beneath it.

But when I have this example structure:

(Uh, take a close look, some of these are bold ;-) )

Code:
INBOX
Folder 1
- Folder 2
  - Folder 3 (5)
Collapsed:

Code:
INBOX
Folder 1
+ Folder 2
If Folder 2 is collapsed, I have no idead that there are folders underneath it that have unread mails. I'd like to see it this way:

Code:
INBOX
Folder 1
- Folder 2
  - Folder 3 (5)
Collapsed:

Code:
INBOX
Folder 1
+ Folder 2
If this is what you meant, then i'll better upgrade to 5.0.5 this weekend ;-)

Stephan

It might help if you updated your profile, that says you have 4.5.8

You won't see the highlight if they are collapsed but you will see the mail in your Inbox. If you think your scenario is important then check bugzilla for any RFEs, if there aren't any then file one.

You won't see the mail in your Inbox if you use the filters to automatically sort the mail into folders. It'd be braindead to have duplicate emails just so that you can see that something new came...

I don't know -- maybe most users are clueless enough not to use mail filters, but where I work 95% of email that gets into folders is put there by filters.

What you talk about only makes sense if people get mail into Inbox and then manually move it -- what a waste of time that is!
