[SOLVED] All messages deferred - lost connection while sending RCPT TO

/etc/hosts appears to be correct now, however the error remains. With antivirus and antispam turned off all messages delivered. With them on...still getting the "RCPT TO" error.

I tried updating the perl Temp module per the link but that did not seem to help (i restarted zcs as well).

Per /opt/zimbra/log/amavisd.log - i didn't have one!? The only similar file in the directory was amavisd.pid. So i stopped all of the services touched amavisd.log, did a chown zimbra:zimbra amavisd.log and restarted the services but it is not writing anything to that file.

Anything in /opt/zimbra/log/amavisd.log ?

According to:

Log Files - Zimbra :: Wiki

amavisd logs to /var/log/zimbra.log

If i do:

root@zimbra:/opt/zimbra/log# tail /var/log/zimbra.log | grep -i amavis
root@zimbra:/opt/zimbra/log#

...i get nothing.

We decided after much time trying to solve the problem that we would just reload the server. It has been working for the last month or so and again we have been training the spam filter. Today i noticed that the spam and anti virus services were showing as not running (an x beside them under server status). I restarted the zimbra services (zmcontrol stop; zmcontrol start) and now it is again giving the the "RCPT TO:" "Lost connection" and everything is getting deferred.

I thought an upgrade to 5.06 GA would help but the issue is the same.

I also tried adding:

LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/opt/zimbra/lib/:/opt/zimbra/openssl/lib/:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH

to zmamavisdctl as suggest by the post of Franck but still no luck - all messages being deferred.

Apologies - after reviewing:

I had missed the export in front of the LD_LIBRARY_PATH line.

All is fixed.
