Default [SOLVED] Logger and mailbox not running

Hi,

I ma using zimbra successfully on different linux and solaris boxes, i have installed in on the Linux AS 4 but got he following status results

---------------------------------------------------------
[zimbra@monitoring bin]$ ./zmcontrol status
Host monitoring.i2c.com
antispam Running
antivirus Running
ldap Running
logger Stopped
logmysql.server is not running
mailbox Stopped
mysql.server is not running
zmmailboxdctl is not running
mta Running
snmp Running
spell Running
stats Stopped
---------------------------------------------------------

this problem was all ready reported but no solution and no reply on it for last 5 month. (Problem With Status)
so i start a new thread. i have attached three log file /var/log/zimbra.log, /opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log and /opt/zimbra/log/zmmailboxd.out.

Thanks.

Welcome to the forums

Looks like your MySQL password is incorrect
Code:
MESSAGE: Access denied for user 'zimbra'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
So, have a read off MySql Password - Zimbra :: Wiki

Hi,

Thanks for your reply......

in your link there is only to show mysql password detail. can you please tell me where can i put this password deatil.......... if you mean to reset the mysql password......it can not be possible until mysql is running.....as i send Zimbra status its mysql is also not running....

but i have run the following command (with out put)

----------------------------------------------------------------[zimbra@monitoring root]$ zmmypasswd --root zimbra
/opt/zimbra/bin/mysqladmin -u root --password=zimbra password zimbra
/opt/zimbra/mysql/bin/mysqladmin: connect to server at 'localhost' failed
error: 'Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/opt/zimbra/db/mysql.sock' (2)'
Check that mysqld is running and that the socket: '/opt/zimbra/db/mysql.sock' exists!
**** PASSWORD CHANGE FAILED
----------------------------------------------------------------

Please check the file /opt/zimbra/logger/db/data/.err to see if any of the MySQL tables are corrupt aswell.
