Return? Those are backticks. It should return your 192.x.x.x IP.

You forgot the backticks when typeing host name. Run the EXACT command I gave you.

Ok so this proves you DNS is not working. It can find your hostname but can't resolve the IP.
The DNS server, are working good, I can asures you, anyway, this is the reason for the error in install proces ? I don't think so...
Can you check your DNS config (I assumes you're using BIND) against the details in this post and make sure it's set-up as described there.Quote:
