Default Problem installing Zimbra in Red Hat Enterprise ASv4

hello,


is there any one with good heart can help me with zimbra? im using red hat linux enterprises ASv4, I've already successfully installed zimbra for linux, but when i tried to open the newly installed software(zimbra) its not working or it didn't open at all. is there any program or script missing?

hope someone can answer my question

Are you talking about the Zimbra Collaboration Suite or the Zimbra Desktop? If it's the Zimbra Desktop, are you on a 64bit system? If it's 64 bit then the Desktop won't install on that, there is an RFE for it if you'd care to vote. If that's not what you've got then what error messages do you get?

Zimbra Collaboration Suite, my OS is 32 bit as well as my hardware...

Have you disabled SElinux and the firewall? Do you have valid DNS A & MX records plus a valid /etc/hosts file? What errors do you see when you try to install?

Sir, actually theres no errors. Its just that, after I install the software and launch the program (zimbra) nothing happens, it didn't open at all. Sir, sorry for this im just new in linux as well as linux, i hpoe you understand.... thanks

Okay, it sounds like you are actually trying Zimbra Desktop. Have a read of this troubleshooting document.
