simp. trad. chinese charset display web-client 5.0.4GA

I just migrated old pop3 server to Zimbra. Users reported that when using web-client, sometimes the trad. chinese chars cannot display and sometimes simp. chinese cannot display. whatever they're using any version of IE & firefox.

I read their orig. message in AJAX web-client;

under zimbra web-client, i can't read the subject and content normally. but it always display without any problem in MS outlook 2003 and gmail. can anyone help?

With limited authority, I cannot access Bug 27281.
Is this bug solved ? or any plan.
I found that email from yahoo.com.cn with

have scrambled charaters in web client but Outlook / Thunderbird is fine.

Try adding -Dsun.nio.cs.map=GBK/GB2312 to the java command line and see if that fixes things. Let us know if it works!
