Default Problems after disk full

Hi All

have been scratching my head all day and have yet to find an answer.

Zimbra server running on a dell poweredge Cent OS5 has been fine since insallation last July.

Server would not run on monday morning, and when I got there to check, the / partition was full and was traced to an unmounted backup drive - removed these files and now back to 29% use - so there is plenty of space.

After reboot system hangs starting zimbra - in excess of 20 minutes, sometimes a lot more. Have removed zimbra from auto starting and system starts up as expected.

Manually starting zimbra takes a lot less - about a minute.

However something is wrong, antivirus is not working, clamd not running no pid file etc. Have been through the forums and tried all the fixes, including updating clamav to latest version, still clamd won't start and therefre messages aren't being delivered.

Have tried disabling antispam/antvirus in the console and restarting. Messages are then deferred temporarily - can't connect to localhost, eve though telnet to port 25 is fine.......

So is there any way I can re-install zimbra on top of current install so that everything is reset - permissions etc??

regards

PS - I wasn't responsible for installing this so am very new to it - I believe this is a purchased instalation o zimbra, which I need to gather details forbefore I ask for official support

Default a little further

now then - I can manually start clamav from /opt/zimbra/clamav-0.93/sbin/clamd

and it starts just fine, and messages are processed :-)

but this is only after booting without zimbra starting - wherre do I check to see where zimbra is trying to start clamd?

well I have a workaround!

I created a script called startzimbra in /etc whcih contains

/bin/su - zimbra -c /opt/zimbra/clamav-0.93/sbin/clamd
/bin/su - zimbra -c "/opt/zimbra/bin/zmcontrol start"

I then added this script to /etc/rc.d/rc.local

This way itis the very last thing it loads, clamd is started before zimbra and all is well and the startup timefrom power on is 3mins 10secs - I'm happy for now, but this does need fixing properly
