Public service host name

what is the "Public service host name" as shown in the new domain wizard from the Admin Console.

I did a search of every document I can find, but nothing tells what this field is supposed to be used for.

Is there any better documentation other than the Administrators guide. This AG seems more of sells brochure than a guide to administration.

eeeehhhh! No way ... what am I doing wrong on my searches... I have been using the Search field all night and all I was coming up with was bug reports about missing a colon on the Admin GUI. And I got zilch when tried to narrow it down to only forums. From where did you do your search?

If I don't put a "Public Service Host Name" (leave it blank), will it use the domain name as a default?
or do you *have to* use the Service Host Name to avoid nuisance password prompts?
