I can confirm that the port was left open on the server. However i could not see which process was the owner. I have tried to reproduce the error, however w/o success.

As you can see the following ports remain open:

Try to kill the processes accessing the ports manually an try to restart zimbra.
You can fin out which process is accessing the port with the following command:
fuser -n tcp $PORT
kill -9 $PID
gargola
I enabled debuggin to get more out of the /opt/zimbra/log/zmmtaconfig.log file.
It says...
Required key is not defined zimbraMtaMyHostname=''
Is this normal?
Could the reboot somehow "lost" these zimbraMta* settings?
