Default Debian /etc/hosts ERROR

I am having a problem installing, under Debian, the new GA release zcs-3.0.0_GA_156.

Running the install.sh (as root) gives the following error:

ERROR: Installation can not proceed. Please fix your /etc/hosts file to contain:

my /etc/hosts contains:

127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
216.255.199.66 niei.icehouse.net niei

I tried moving 127.0.0.1 to the second position but that did not help.

the hostname command returns: niei

Is that the entire file? Did you use space or tab to seperate the names?

That was not the entire hosts file. Debain adds ipv6 compatible addressing. Reading in to your question (is that the entire file), I removed everything except the two lines above. Same error. I then removed the localhost entery leaving only the niei entry, and the install now works.
