I'm trying to migrate from one server running FC5 with Zimbra 4.5.10 to a new server with the same version of software. I use rsync to migrate the data and followed the Moving ZCS to Another Server instructions. The migration goes very smoothly with no errors that I saw. All the users are migrated and their passwords work. The problem is that there is no email in their mailboxes at all. I sent a test message and new mail shows up just fine, but all the old email is gone.
I migrated back to the old server for now, but I'd really like to make the move permanent.
When you say you rsync'd the data what do you mean ? Did you not just tar up /opt/zimbra, install a dummy installation, and then restore from your tar'ed file ?
Turns out I'm retarded. I used a script to do some backup a while back and had taken some folders out for speed. I corrected the script and the upgrade went great.
