Default [SOLVED] admin console - unable to log in

I have completed the installation of ZCS 5 on Ubuntu 6.06 LTS 32bit system. Install has completed as expected, however I am unable to login to admin console with password which I have setup during install. The only thing I did not install is snmp. I have bind9 installed. I have also attempted to reset password "zmprov sp" (with user@domainname.com) passwd.

zmprov not found on system when attempting to run command. I am sure there is a simple fix for this, however I am unable to locate a problem with install or setup.

I have rebooted the server after entire setup was complete

Is the admin account part of server.domain.com instead of domain.com? (type the full account name at the admin console login)

I have verified account is in domain.com (not the server.domain.com). I have run the commands above. I have also run zmprov sp command to reset the password to ensure proper authentication. Still no access. I was thinking there is something wrong in ldap as I can get to the zimbraadmin page but can not sign in.

I have found the issue. PW contained $ symbols. Removed $ symbol from password and everything works.

Ya, from shell if you use zmprov sp admin@domain.com split$part then the password will be set to split (dropping the $part).
To workaround this you can use 'split$part' or split\$part
