Default [SOLVED]zcs Red Cat cluster (4) installation problem

Hi,
I've some question about cluster installation with red had cluster (HA)
I read the "ZCS Cluster install Guide" (network edition 5.0).
I'm using zcs-NETWORK-5.0.2_GA_1976.RHEL4.20080130204528

I have two node nodo1.mydomain.com and nodo2.mydomain.com
my cluster service is: boxha.mydomain.com

add cluster ip to nodo1 :
ip addr add 10.10.10.123 dev eth0
already setup SAN partition
run install.pl --cluster active
insert service name:boxha.mydomain.com

# Mount the SAN Volume:
mount -t ext3 /dev/sdb1 /opt/zimbra-cluster/mountpoints/boxha.mydomain.com

and it's empty....
is it right?
if run again (as describe in doc) install.pl --cluster active and enter the same value
nothing differs...
to continue installatione Ihave to run
# Start ZCS Install:
./install.sh -l /tmp/ZCSLicense.xml

there's no other way try to install...

installation ends correctly but the /opt/zimbra-cluster/mountpoints/boxha.mydomain.com is still empty...

where I'm wrong?
Could you help me, plese?

You should be using install.sh for all installs. There is no longer an install.pl for cluster installs. Please check the Zimbra Support Portal for updates on installing cluster with ZCS 5.0.2, as there is a patch needed for the install to continue.

Thank you for reply.
I'have used ./install.sh sorry for typing error
In support portal I didin't find the patch you say... can you say where i can find it?
By the way, I found this document "multi-node_cluster_install.pdf" that seems more complete.
Can you confrm the correct step sequence to setup zimbra with RedHat cluster:

# ./install.sh --cluster active
create /opt/zimbra-cluster/mountpoints/
# mount -v LABEL= /opt/zimbra-cluster/mountpoints/ com>

"Next Steps
Before you rerun install.sh cluster active to install the ZCS software on the
active node do the following
1. Delete /opt/zimbra, type rm -rf /opt/zimbra
2. Create symlink for zimbra, type ln -s /opt/zimbra-cluster/mountpoints/
clusterservicename /opt/zimbra"

# ./install.sh --cluster active --l /tmp/license.xml

is this right?

or as sugget in Bug 17891 - New-style cluster install: put zimbra home on shared disk
do this:
"Red Hat Cluster Suite implemented resource dependency in RHEL4 Update 5 release.
With this, we can install Zimbra home (/opt/zimbra) on SAN and eliminate most
of the messy symlinking that is required in a clustered ZCS install today."

Thanks a lot :-)
Ciao

Smile [SOLVED]zcs Red Cat cluster (4) installation problem

hi All,
with this document multi-node_cluster_install (in attach) the installatione process work fine.
The key step, missing in ZimbraSingle-ServerClusterInstallationGuide5.0.pdf , is contained in this few line:

"Next Steps
Before you rerun install.sh cluster active to install the ZCS software on the
active node do the following
1. Delete /opt/zimbra, type rm -rf /opt/zimbra
2. Create symlink for zimbra, type ln -s /opt/zimbra-cluster/mountpoints/
clusterservicename /opt/zimbra"

My cluster now is up and running, ready for testing

Ciao
Alessio
