What do you mean by 'can't retrieve messages'? Have you enabled the automatic scheduling to fetch the mail? If you haven't, please search the forums for the details.

The automatic scheduling is for retrieving mail from external accounts into Zimbra and not relevant to your question. There should be no reason why you can't download mail into Thunderbird, any settings for fetching the mail automatically are in Thunderbird. You really should be using IMAP for connecting to a Zimbra server, you be able to mirror your own foilder structure (if you use one). Are you sure you don't have the 'Leave messages on Server' setting set in Thunderbird.

Check the mailbox.log for any errors. Which folder are you downloading the mail into? Try it with an IMAP account in Thunderbird and see if that retrieves the mail.

Yes, set the TLS mode in Thunderbird.

ok, i was reading about the services ports pop have 110 for pop proxy and 7110 for pop in admin console.

i tried with 7110 (checkin TLS in thunderbird) and worked.
im a bit confused but maybe i need to read the entire manual
sorry this is my first time installing this product, and btw is great, better than any other that i was using, im thinking on changin my production server with this if all the tests goes right

thanks, and if somebdy explain me why i need to use 7110 and not 110 i will be great....

thanks again
