Default ZimbraCS works, MySQL socket issues

I've installed ZimbraCS a few times, each in VMware images. They've always worked and I was able to use them for testing. My current issue is that of running another instance of MySQL. I know that Zimbra uses its own custom MySQL process and db's. Is it in anyway possible to install another running process of MySQL? My current setup is using Debian 4. The problem where I run into is the sock & pid files I believe.

If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate them.

Thanks,
aaronsev

There's no reason why another instance of MySQL would be a problem, I run another instance on my own Zimbra server without problems.

OK, so in my installation of Debian 4, just perform a
"apt-get install mysql-server"
And install all the requirements for mysql and it should work? Is there any other configuration I would need to do?

I use CentOS myself and don't know Debian too well but no, there should be no other requirements.
