Default Installing Client in Windows XP

Hi,

I am not sure whether I can do this.

I am trying to install ZIMBRA client in windows XP professional assuming I can configure Zimbra to connect to my IMAP server. But after installation I can see a login page I don't know what it expects from me.

If try to enter something and press OK I can see this error.

"An unknown application error has occurred. Please correct any errors and retry. If the problem persists, please contact your System Aministrator. (INVALID_PDU)"

What should I do?

Thanks,
Sundar

There is nothing to install for the web client. You just go to the URL and login. I think you may be confusing our webclient as an IMAP client. It's not. Our AJAX web client will only work with mail in the Zimbra server. It will not talk to other IMAP servers.

We do support IMAP as an additional way to access your mail stored in Zimbra but it's not designed to talk to external IMAP servers.

Question Installing Client in Windows XP

Greetings KevinH,

Your explanations are really helpfull, but i have a small query here.
Does this mean we need to install the client on the same machine where the ZCS is installed?

Can we not deploy the Zimbra web client to different machine and just configure it to talk to the ZCS configured on separate remote machine?

Thanks & Regards,
Zocs...

The Zimbra web client is just your browser (IE or FF) pointed at your zimbra server - http://yourserver/ - it would be better if you posted this to a new thread instead of a two year )almost) old thread.
