https proxy with cluster

Hello All,

I am trying to setup a situation where the proxy situation similar to described at Multiple SSL Virtual Hosts - Zimbra :: Wiki works with a cluster of mailstore servers. The issue I have is that Apache sends the request to a mailstore and it appears if its not the correct one the mailstore does a redirect to the correct server breaking the user out of the proxy.

The method of the redirect isn't important, however, I need to achieve a setup where a user can visit https://zimbra.domain.com and be proxied to the mailstores without seeing the address of the mailstore in the address bar. I am familiar with Bug 9469 - ZCS Mailbox Server Proxy but does anyone know of a way to achieve this?
