Install Trouble

After I install and run /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmsetup.pl and go to apply the configuration I recieve an ldap error and the error in the log file is this:

/opt/zimbra/libexec/zmldapinit: line 82: /bin/ldap: No such file or directory

any suggestions? thanks.

What OS are you installing on? Which build are you using?

This is probably a java problem.

What do you get from:
su - zimbra
zmlocalconfig zimbra_home

java -version

Nothing from either.

You apparently don't have java 1.5 installed, as required by zimbra. You can get that from software update.
