I'm unable to repro this on my 5.0.2.

I started with a signature, and set to text compose. Reloaded client. Preferences, clear signature, set to HTML compose. Saved preferences, went to compose new email. I am able to enter information in all fields, and body text.

Maybe there are some other settings involved as well?

This is FF3 RC1 in Linux.

Thanks mario,

Got steps:
5.0.6_GA_2313.UBUNTU6 (mine) or 5.0.6_GA_2313.DEBIAN4.0 (mario)

Ajax client
IE7 vista
Remove all sigs
Set to compose as html
Change language to Italian

It lets you type, but blinks/removes the text after 2 characters.

Neither mario or I can repo on FF 2.0.0.14, speak up if you can.

p24t can also repo on IE6 XP against mario's 5.0.6 box

EDIT:
Later discovered: Bug 33387 – punti fontsize can't type in IE with html compose & sig
