The short answer is, no, it's not worth the hassle. (I think) the long answer is yes, but if you are just tasting Zimbra, do yourself a favor: use a dedicated server for it. If you don't have one, you can use a virtual machine.
VMWare Server is free, regardless of what operating system you are using. That's how I started out, and I wound up hosting a decently big installation (~70 users) in a (much upgraded) virtual server. However, if you decide to disregard this advice, here are instructions for doing so:
