Default Can't Login to Admin Console - 5.0.1_GA_1902

Hi there,

discovered some strange behaviours of ZCS 5.0.1_GA_1902 FOSS:

- tested on CentOS 5.1 or RHEL 5.1 (Production): Same issues
- tested on Firefox, IE, Opera: Same issues
- Fresh install or upgrade from 4.5.x: Same issues
- No Zimlets
- Installation / Upgrade without any issues.
- Zimbra Webclient is working fine.

The problem is: After Logging in to Admin Console the "Loading ..." Message appears forvever. I can't Login to the Admin Console. The Admin Application
doesn't start.

Auth is working: If I enter a wrong password this is captured.

So far no clue what is happening since there're no error- messages in any logs at all.

If I can contribute more information to solve this issue, please advise.

Regards

Andreas

Can you remove the ldap tools samba extension? Is it in use?

I don't use the samba extension.

Just to make shure I did the following:

- zmzimletctl listZimlets doesn't show the samba extension
- zmzimletctl undeploy zimbra_samba
- did a rm -rf /opt/zimbra/jetty/work/* again
- Clearied all Cookies / Cache in Firefox

now things behave even more strange:

- Firebug does not report any errors
- After Logging the "Loading" message appears for a second and then
the Login Screen reappears again without any messages
- The only message i found in zmmailboxd.out is
"1779 INFO [main] log - No Transaction manager found - if your webapp requires one, please configure one."

I had the same issue.

Could you try: zmzimletctl undeploy zimbra_posixaccount

Then just hit refresh in your browser.

If you want to use the zimbra_posixaccount use the original one, and not the one provided by the gallery, cause that one doesn't work.

... done. But no luck: still the same behaviour.

After Logging in the "Loading" Message appears for a second an then the Login Screen reappears.

I was wondering if this is an RHEL 5.1 / CentOS 5.1 issue? I don't think this happens with CentOS 4.x or RHEL 4.

Do you have more than one ldap server?

No, I don't.

The Server is a dedicated Zimbra Server. No other Software installed or
running. ps aux | grep slapd is showing:

/opt/zimbra/openldap/libexec/slapd -l LOCAL0 -4 -u zimbra -h ldap://de-dd-srv-1101.datacenter.as42699.net:389 -f /opt/zimbra/conf/slapd.conf

Okay, just wanted to eliminate one possibility, which you just did.
