Question can't login after successful install

I successfully installed zcs-5.0.1_GA_1902 on Ubuntu 6.06. Everything looks good, no errors in logs but I can't log in:

http://mail.mydomain.tld/zimbra/
admin@dinercard.com:mypassword

Quote:
The username or password is incorrect. Verify that CAPS LOCK is not on, and then retype the current username and password.
I set every possible password during installation...

Then I tried the Administration Console:
https://mail.mydomain.tld:7071/zimbraAdmin/
Quote:
Authentication Failed
It's my first zimbra try and I was impressed by the perfect working install script but now I'm helpless...

Hi,
Sorry you're having trouble. Did you set the admin password during setup?

You can change the admin password by running:
zmprov sp admin@domain.com password123

I think your forum spam filters don't like me.. Sorry for duplicate threads..

zmprov sp didn't help. Maybe I have a ldap problem?

my DNS settings:

mydomain.tld ip: 62.62.62.1x --> my apache server
mx of mydomain.tld:
mail.mydomain.tld ip: 62.62.62.2x --> my mail server

zimbra runs on mail.mydomain.tld, domain is set to mydomain.tld.
However, mails are getting through.. everythings looks good in logs.

Did it fail on running the command though? (in which case the actual account may be admin@mail.domain.tld / try logging in with that)

Ya, from shell if you use zmprov sp admin@domain.com split$part then the password will be set to split (dropping the $part).
To workaround this you can use 'split$part' or split\$part
