Creating an alias to another mail server.

We are working on migrating from Postfix to Zimbra. I currently have aliases to other servers. As an example I have abuse@ourdomain.com pointing to our mailman server root-ml@lists.ourdomain.com. When I try to create an alias in the Zimbra Admin console I get an error that "Target account/dl root-ml@lists.ourdomain.com doesn't exist". Where would I go to add aliases to external mail servers?

After 3 days I still haven't found anything in the documentation. I could add a mailbox with a forward, but it doesn't seem like I should have to use up a license seat just for a forwarding alias. This seems like it would be a common issue so, I'm rather surprised no one has a solution.

Use distribution lists.

I have the same issue here...

I need to create an alias for user.cell@ourdomain.com to user@blackberryprovider.com.

Creating a distribution list doesn't seem a solution because it only lists locally created accounts as list members.

Please don't add your posts to a year old thread, in future create a new thread. Check the forums for 'Persona', that will do what you need.
