Default Can't get tomcat to start

After moving our installation over to a test server (running Ubuntu) 6.06 LTS, I am unable to get tomcat running. Here's what I've done:

-Dummy install using same version of zimbra (4.5.6 GA FOSS)

-Replace /opt/zimbra with the restore

-Some general housekeeping related to other problems I am fixing (I can go into further detail if deemed relevant, but basically export/reimport of ldap data, and some uppercase domain name fixes in config files)

-Run the installer in upgrade mode. The installer seems to complete successfully.

-Fixed permissions

-Do zmcontrol start. After, I do zmcontrol status and see:
Code:
zimbra@phosphor:~$ zmcontrol status
Host phosphor.leddynamics.com
        antispam Running
        antivirus Stopped
                zmclamdctl is not running
        ldap Running
        logger Running
        mailbox Stopped
                tomcat is not running
        mta Running
        snmp Running
        spell Running
My /etc/hosts file is okay.

Attached is my catalina.out, zmsetup.log, and install.log. Any help would be appreciated, as I've been working on this move for about a month now

Did you check that the zimbra install on the new server has the same uid & gid as your original server?

The zimbra user and group is 1001 on both servers... is that what you mean?

Yes, that was what I meant. You don't, by any chance, have another mail server running on this machine do you? I can connect to your server at phosphor.leddynamics.com and get a response from a postfix server, check if you have another server running.

Bill,

the severe error in the catalina log file would cause the install to bork wouldn't it ? :-

Code:
Jan 9, 2008 10:38:44 AM org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext resourcesStart
SEVERE: Error starting static Resources
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Document base /opt/zimbra/apache-tomcat-5.5.15/server/webapps/host-manager does not exist or is not a readable directory
	at org.apache.naming.resources.FileDirContext.setDocBase(FileDirContext.java:140)

Bill- you are connecting to a different (production) server. The one I am working on is a copy on a test network, you can't get to it.

No, that's just a warning about missing directories (there's two of them).

Stop Zimbra and make sure all of the processes are gone the start it again, what errors do you see in /var/log/zimbra.log?

Did you also run zmfixperms after copying over your old /opt/zimbra?
