Before you go through all that - do a quick test - it may be that you just need to toggle the status of 'enable DNS lookups'.
I followed the instructions you provided in the wiki.
When I stopped and started Postfix I received:
I checked the file main.cf and found it owned by zimbra:zimbra. I changed it to root : postfix. On stop and start of postfix, I received the same message.Code:mktemp: cannot create temp file /opt/zimbra/conf/postfix_header_checks.XXXXX: Invalid argument postfix/postfix-script: warning: not owned by root: /opt/zimbra/postfix-220.127.116.11z/conf/main.cf postfix/postfix-script: starting the Postfix mail system
The first part is a bug, I get it on postfix reloading as well, you can ignore it so to speak Bug 23248 - UBUNTU: /opt/zimbra/bin/postfix error: "mktemp: cannot create temp file"
main.cf gets regenerated each startup

Seems permissions were wrong in a bunch of places, (zmfixperms) then a few spelling troubles:
smtp_sasl_password_maps = hash:/opt/simbra/conf/relay_password
smtp_sasl_passwoord_maps = hash:/opt/zimbra/conf/relay_password_test
