Yes, Scalar::Util was already installed prior to forcing the installation.

I was not able to get it to work following the thread everyone says the issue was closed. It worked for self-signed certs, but the commercial one I have (Thawte) it did not. In order to get a work around until it's fixed you can see what I did in this post: http://www.zimbra.com/forums/install...s-upgrade.html

I have not yet searched to see what might be causing this problem.

Type quit when this finishes. This seems to fix the environment for a successful Zimbra 5 install/upgrade.
Thanks for the reply David....I just got my 4.5.9 back up and running and will try to get to 4.5.10 tomorrow and then retry 5.0 sometime this weekend....

Or a copy of your /opt/zimbra with rsync/disk images etc?
I use an rsync script to keep /opt/zimbra in sync on another nfs server (probably the cause for a very slow copy back over). I do have zimbra running full and incremental backups every nite, but I was unsure of how the process would go as outlined in the admin guidelines....guess I need to install a test server and work through a disaster recovery process.

Also thanks to mmorse and reckless2k2 for all their help and suggestions...

I love zimbra...and all the upgrades I have done have been flawless...but this one had me worried...many thanks to all...
