Default New Install of Zimbra 5 on Debian/Etch, import from 4.x

I currently run Zimbra 4.5.x (F/OSS edition) on an Ubuntu VM, but plan to do a fresh install of Zimbra 5 (probably on Debian//Etch) instead of upgrading as there are a couple of odd things going on in the VM (due in part, I think, to a muck up on my part when restoring a backup).

I have a few questions...

1. The instructions PDF I've picked up so far only mentions upgrades. Is this intentional, and an indication that I should wait until the end of December date now listed on Zimbra Product Portal, or do the packages listed in the R5 release announcement also support fresh installs?

2. Can I assume that imapsync is a safe way to transfer mail from the old R4.5.x install to the new setup once complete?

3. Is there any way to transfer documents from one install to the other? (though to be honest, there aren't that many so we're happy to copy-and-paste them over if there is no more automated method)

1) Nope. It was not intentional.
2) Imapsync is safe
3) not in 4.5.x. In 5.0 we have an export/import feature for docs, but it's not in 4.5.x

Thanks for the quick reply.

I shall have to have a play at the weekend, if I have time after getting the commercemas shopping finished.
