Default [SOLVED] Zimbra 5.0: will there be a 64-bit version for Ubuntu?

Just curious to know if there will be a 64-bit version of Zimbra 5.0 Network Edition made available for Ubuntu?

There are currently 32- and 64-bit versions for RHEL and SuSE, but only 32-bit versions for Ubuntu.

As a follow-up question, are there any migration tools for going from 32-bit installs of Zimbra 5.0 NE to the 64-bit version of Zimbra 5.0 NE?

Cheers,
Freddie

You should search bugzilla for any RFE for a 64 bit Ubuntu and vote on it.

The information on migration is in the wiki here

Question Resolved?

I noticed that bug 16666 now says Status: Resolved and Resolution: Fixed. Does this mean there will be an official Ubuntu 64-bit Zimbra 5 NE build out in the near future? Is it time to break out in the happy dance(tm)?

Well, technically it's not solved until we can download the 64-bit build of Zimbra for Ubuntu.

But nice to see the work has been done, and the download will be available at some point. We're really looking forward to this, as our nice new dual-CPU, dual-core Opteron system with 8 GB of RAM just arrived, and we'd like to put Zimbra on there with access to more than just 4 GB of RAM.

It is solved.

The question is:
"Will there be a 64-bit version of Ubuntu" not "Is there a 64-bit version of Ubuntu?"

The answer is an overwhelming YES!!
