Pffft! In that case, it was solved a long time ago, when the first commit to P4 was added on the way to support this.

Semantics aside, I won't consider this solved until I can see the link to the 64-bit NE version and can install it on our server here.

Just to be sure, this is also for the OSS edition, right?

Default Release date

Thanks for the good news. Is there a planned release date for this?

Hello,

i could not see a Zimbra release for Ubuntu 64 bit on the download page until now. It is about one month ago, that the bug 16666 (64 bit ubuntu build) was closed and jholder announced it in this thread, too.

I'm sitting here with a brand new 64 bit machine with 8 gb RAM (that is the main reason for me to use the 64 bit version of Ubuntu) and I'm waiting for the download. When will it be available? I have to install it soon, the old server (actual Zimbra on old hardware) is burning the whole day...

Thanks
McPringle

It will be available when the bug entry is marked as fixed/confirmed (we do not pre-announce product release dates). Add yourself to the cc list and/or vote on it and also keep an eye on the Product Portal.

I'm in the same position McPringle - Dell PE 2950

Have a look here: Zimbra Product Portal

Do a find-in-page for '16666' and it says it should be included in 5.0.3. Going from the recent release dates I would guess this will be released some time at the end of Feb/early March; but this is obviously subject to change.

Looks like the status of Bug #16666 has now changed to 'ASSIGNED'. Anybody got any news on what's happening with this? We're itching to use Zimbra but don't want to use a dpkg or chroot hack to get it to work.

looks like it's built and in in QA stage and marked as completed for 5.0.3. There's only one non-completed targeted requirement left, hopefully soon

Just to be clear, ZCS 5.0.3 FOSS will be released as Beta for Ubuntu 6.06.01 Server 64bit. A Network edition build will be released in a later 5.0.x release, most likely 5.0.4 but nothing is committed yet.
