Default Zimbra on Debian 4 vs Ubuntu 6.06 LTS

Hello,

we intend to setup a Zimbra test environment, based on Debian 4.0, Xen and Zimbra OOS
(if possible V5) in January 2008.

Questions:
1.
Should we wait the GA of a Zimbra 4.0 binary?

2.
Should we - instead on Debian4 - install Zimbra on Ubuntu 6.06. LTS
(what could be of advantage for the case we would later on switch to the Zimbra NE) ?

Thank's for any feedback!

John

1. Assuming you mean 5.0, yes! GA is due Real Soon Now, I think target date is 17th Dec.

2. Yes, the Debian 4 port is brand new for 5.0 and has had a few 'issues'. I don't think it's planned for NE.
