Default default user config

Heyo,

Is there any way to have a 'templated' user? I know that we have user defaults for various things, but as an example, I have a set of users that each require read access to each of their calendars.

So, even though I have users in a group, and access setup in that group, I still end up having to add user calendars to each new user. Since there are at this point 15 of them, it can be quite annoying to have to add each user to a new user's calendar.

Adding new users to existing user's calendar is not as difficult, of course. One outgoing calendar request takes care of that.

Any suggestions?

Hmm.

No one seems to have an answer. Does no one else have this problem? Does everyone simply get end users to add the calendars to their own calendar view?

Or, do people create a 'fake' user, and just restore that user from backup with a default config in place?

Is there some way to use the zmprov command to add and delete calendars from users? I don't (yet) see such an option, only a global option to add calendar resources...

Thanks... working with this now... the feedback is appreciated.

(I couldn't find this, because I wasn't even searching for zmmailbox, or apparently anything that gave me a hit on this)

The closest I can find to what I want, is this from the wiki:

zmmailbox -z -m albert@example.com mfg -i /Calendar account brian@example.com none "Permission: None"
zmmailbox -z -m albert@example.com mfg -i /Calendar account brian@example.com r "Permission: Viewer"
zmmailbox -z -m albert@example.com mfg -i /Calendar account brian@example.com rwidx "Permission: Manager"

However, I am getting a constant

ERROR: zclient.CLIENT_ERROR (not enough args)
com.zimbra.cs.zclient.ZClientException: not enough args

when trying these commands. Any ideas why? Has the syntax just changed since the Wiki entry?

Drop the "Permission: whatever" that is just telling you what it does
Play with -i vs another line of createMountpoint (they accept vs you force acceptance)
