 Why Replica
Now I was hoping that after setting up a replica on my network I would end up with a second server that would lighten the burden of queries to the first server. I seem to be seeing otherwise unless somebody points me otherwise.
I attempted to point my Thunderbird client to query the GAL replicated on the second. Now, replication to the second server was successfull, I can run zmprov gaa and see a replicated list. Trouble is, clients cannot query the replica as there is no ldap service running on the replica (disabled during installation). So why replicate? |
