Welcome to the forums.

It doesn't have an option to do an upgrade, just running the script will perform an upgrade on an already installed copy of Zimbra. It should find the currently installed version and ask if you want to continue. What happens when you run the install script?

Ok I copy the / opt / zimbra of 11gb which is running currently at version 3.1.4 and put it on a new server with the same version then run the script / opt / zimbra / libexec / zmfixperms to return all I the permisologia then run the installer zimbra 3.1.4 to recognize the new directory zimbra and does not give me an option to upgrade if not realizra a new install all this because I want to go up to an updated version 5.0

Oh I see, you want to move it to a new server? If that's what you're trying to do then the answer might be slightly different depending on your operating system. You should install the same version of Zimbra on the new server as you've got on the old one. When you've done that and made sure it's working you copy the /opt/zimbra directory (using rsync) to the new machine, run the zmfixperms script and then run the installer again (use the same version again) and it will perform an 'upgrade' install. After that is working you should be able to upgrade the version to 4.0.1 and then to a more recent release.

One point, after running the zmfixperms you may need to reset the LDAP & MySQL passwords and you'll find details in the wiki.

This is assuming that your new server will have the same hotsname as the old server and that the IP address and the DNS A & MX records also point to that server.

Thanks, I am apology if I am not explain well at the beginning of the new server is in suse 10.0 and I already have installed correctly version 3.1.4 of zimbra, siquiente step would be to copy the directory / opt / zimbra in the new server, you see done this execution scritp zmfixperms and then what we would be making a serious update of the same version 3.1.4 to recognize the new directory zimbra correct?? When I try to perform this update generates an error when I locate the rpm they should already be installed that I can do in this case?
