    Thank you for the reply ArcaneMagus. I deleted the spaces from that LDAP search query and copied your other settings, but still get the same error. Is there something I need to do to setup 127.0.0.2 or port 389? Thanks!

    On my server at least (OpenSUSE 10.3) there has been a 127.0.0.2 address created that the LDAP server is running on. From what I remember it only listens on this IP address but you could try setting the "external" server to 127.0.0.1 which is the standard loopback IP address.

    Your reply got me thinking, and I tried a few IP's before I found the one that worked (the network accessible IP of 10.2.1.100, which was assigned by me). I set that for both domains, and the GAL looks great between 2 domains! Thank you! Now I'd like to figure out how to get 3 or more domains on one single GAL without sharing to other domains on the same server...

    Awesome glad that helped As far as getting 3 domains to work I would think that it would either be something in the LDAP search base or setting LDAP search base to dc=com and then limiting the domains in the filter. But don't take my word on it as unfortunately my LDAP skills are virtually non-existent so....

    Unfortunately the domains I'd like to share are multiple .org's and multiple .us's, so I can't set the LDAP search base to both. If I had all .org's or all .us's then that would probably work.

    Maybe adding something like this?

    LDAP filter:
    (
    &
    (
    |
    (cn=*%s*)
    (sn=*%s*)
    (gn=*%s*)
    (mail=*%s*)
    (zimbraMailDeliveryAddress=*%s*)
    (zimbraMailAddress=*%s*)
    )
    (
    |
    (objectclass=zimbraAccount)
    (objectclass=zimbraDistributionList)
    )
    (
    |
    (zimbraMailDeliveryAddress=*@domain1)
    (zimbraMailDeliveryAddress=*@domain2)
    (zimbraMailDeliveryAddress=*@domain3)
    (zimbraMailAlias=*@domain1)
    (zimbraMailAlias=*@domain2)
    (zimbraMailAlias=*@domain3)
    )
    )

    All put onto one line of course...

    LDAP search base:
    dc=org,dc=us
    Whatever will return all domains you desire

    My idea here is that the LDAP server will search within everything...but will only match the email address domains listed listed in the last section.

    But won't that only search domains ending in ".org.us"?

    As I said...my LDAP knowledge is virtually non-existent. My Idea was that it would search all domains and the domain limitations setting the results that users get to only your desired domains would be enforced in the LDAP filter.
