Default [SOLVED] how to set tomcat memory usage in 4.5.x?

Hi:

We decided to drop back to 4.5.9 from testing 5.0.

On 5.0 we had problems with the java environment trying to use too much memory on a 32-bit system. I used:

zmlocalconfig -e mailboxd_java_heap_memory_percent=30

to limit the memory usage.

What's the equivalent command to set this in 4.5.x?

Also, I opened a bug about this for 5.0 and it's been fixed. What's the proper way to request it be fixed for 4.5? Should I open a new bug, reopen the old bug?

i found "tomcat_java_heap_memory_percent" and got that fixed.

I'd still appreciate the best way to approach filing a bug about this...

thanks!

I assume we're talking about 32-bit installs getting assigned more than 2GB/app.

Could you post a link to your current bug number?

Thanks! I opened a new bug for 4.5.9.

The 2 bugs:

4.5.9: Bug 21551 - installer sizes tomcat_java_heap_memory_percent too large on 32-bit system and mailboxd fails to start
5.0.x Bug 21348 - installer sizes mailboxd_java_heap_memory_percent too large on 32-bit system and mailboxd fails to start
