Hmm, don't think it's a bug. We've had lots of 64bit installs, and this is the first I've heard. We'll see what happens with RC2

Right, but this is a 32-bit install which means each app can't use more than 2GB (less overhead)

i filed a bug and it was marked as fixed the next day. The bug info:

Bug 21348 - installer sizes mailboxd_java_heap_memory_percent too large on 32-bit system and mailboxd fails to start

Note that the same problem occurs in 4.5.x as well. bug Bug 21551 - installer sizes tomcat_java_heap_memory_percent too large on 32-bit system and mailboxd fails to start is for 4.5.x
