Default Web Interface not working <solved>

Hi,

I´m using RC1 on Ubuntu 6.10 and the webinterface stopped working. I tried https and http connections. It worked last week an I created a few new users to test the system, but as I tried to connect to the system again this week, nothing happened.

netstat -a | grep 7071

returned nothing

lsof | grep TCP | grep 70

Disable ipv6 on the Zimbra server and any firewall and/or SElinux that may be running. You should try a connection to port 80 or 443 depending on how you've got your Web UI set-up, see if you get any response from the server. Also have a look in the logs to see if there's any errors.

Ok, I disabled IPv6 and firewalls, looked through the log files. Found nothing.

Trying to connect to port 80, 443 or 7071, all return "The page cannot be displayed"

Then I would guess Tomcat isn't running. What changed on your server between last week and when you tried to connect this week? What does it say in the catalina.out log?

I thought Tomcat isn´t used in Zimbra 5?

Ok, apache wasn´t running, don´t know why, reinstalled it and I can finally access the web-interface again. Thanks for the help.
