Can I revert from trial rPath appliance to Open Source Edition?

When my 60 day trial ends, how do I revert to the open source edition? I read other articles that say you install on top of but there is not an rPath open source edition download (that i can see).

There's no OpenSource Edition for rPath (only a NE beta).

You'll have to backup (search the wiki), install a new OS, then reinstall the OSE (same version as previous NE), restore and then upgrade to last version.
