Default Non-root installation

Hi. I'm using a webhosting for my websites and websoftware. I *think* it's running a Red Hat. I leased a dedicated IP so that i could open the ports i wanted. However i do not have root access.

Can i install Zimbra on that server, even from sources if necessary? So far i've successfully installed a couple softwares using a --prefix=~/usr option in the configure scripts, can something similar be achieved with Zimbra?

Thanks in advance.

Do you have sudoer privledges? if so, run a sudo /bin/bash

That will give you root access.

Should i take that as a "no"?

Sudo is not installed there, and if there was a way to become root, it would probably be a mistake or security bug.
