Default Error with zimbra ldap replication

When I try to run zmldapenablereplica on master ldap server, I have the error:
-----
[zimbra@zimbra1 ~]$ libexec/zmldapenablereplica
Enabling sync provider...sed: can't read .pre-replica: No such file or directory
succeeded
Started slapd: pid 25418
-----

The changes on the master weren't replicated to the slave ldap server. How can I fix this? Is there a way to run synchronize manually?

I also found this in zimbra.log on the slave ldap server:

-----
Oct 8 14:48:41 odie slapd[5332]: do_syncrepl: rid 211 retrying
Oct 8 14:49:41 odie slapd[5332]: do_syncrepl: rid 211 retrying
-----

I believe the slave was trying to sync with the master but unsuccessfully. From here, what else can I check?

For more information, I have 2 ldap replica servers.

Ok, I found the Bug 12981 - ldap replicas out of sync when multiple replicas are present

I think this is the problem I'm having now. However, I do not know how to solve the problem. Had anyone solved it? Please help me out.

Thank you,
Don

I'd highly recommend upgrading to at least 4.5.6/4.5.7. There were significant improvements made to our openldap installs that fix performance as well as replication issues.

The bug you referenced 12981 was caused by using the same replica id for each replica. Upgrading to the lastest editions should pull in fixes in the startup scripts for this issue.
