Default NE pro trial on ubuntu VM ?

Is there a trial of the NE edition based around a ubunut VM ? I've got the rpath one here, but i need to make adjustments to it to get it working on our network and it's proving a pain.

I can get the IP changed, but then the 7071 port (or even port 80) doesnt appear open, with even the VM itself not being able to telnet to it.

Anyone got one around ubuntu ?

Olly

Why not just install VMware server (free) then install Ubuntu+Zimbra on that?

Coz i'm after the speed of getting things working that comes with a VM appliance. I also want to know that what im trialling may (or may not be) working because of a correct setup rather than finding that an issue with the software comes down to my setup of the OS.

Then the only official appliance you'll get support for is the one provided by Zimbra.

Implicit in my last reply was the fact that the only VM Appliance with NE installed on it is the one supplied by Zimbra. Is that not what you were asking in your first post or am I missing something?

They can also let me know as well. We don't produce one.

I know you dont. If you did, it would be on your website. What i was asking was whether anyone know of one out there on the web.

Please, if you dont really have anything to add, then dont.

Don't do silly little mad faces, it's rather childish when I'm trying to help you.

I'm trying to point out to you that there isn't a VMware Appliance built around Ubuntu & the NE version of Zimbra anywhere on the web. If you specifically want Ubuntu then my earlier suggestion of installing it yourself would eb the way to go. If you want an Appliance then the rPath one is the only one available. Have you read the documentation about setting up the appliance? Have you got all the prerequisites in place?
