Default IMAP Authentication

Hi folks, here i am again with a question.
I can't login to imap. The webmail works without problems, and i enabled plain login in the control panel, here are some screenshots and a telnet log to port 143:

Services enabled:

IMAP settings:

Telnet to port 143:

Code:
$ telnet 10.1.2.212 143
Trying 10.1.2.212...
Connected to 10.1.2.212.
Escape character is '^]'.
* OK zimbra.mysdomain.com Zimbra IMAP4rev1 service ready
C01 CAPABILITY
* CAPABILITY IMAP4rev1 STARTTLS BINARY CATENATE CHILDREN ESEARCH ID IDLE LITERAL+ LOGIN-REFERRALS NAMESPACE QUOTA SASL-IR UIDPLUS UNSELECT WITHIN X-DRAFT-I04-SEARCHRES
C01 OK CAPABILITY completed
Should not be some AUTH=foo for each auth mechanism?

Thanks

mmmmm.....
Kmail works, but i need to make it work with Toltec's connector for outlook 2k, it needs the AUTH stuff.
It's possible to enable it?

Cheers.

4.5 supports LOGIN and AUTH=PLAIN, though AUTH=PLAIN is only available under a TLS security layer (see RFC 4616) -- in other words, either imaps (port 993) or after a STARTTLS command. 5.0 will also support AUTH=GSSAPI.

Still can't get this working (probably my fault though).

Code:
telnet localhost 993
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
c01 capability

Connection closed by foreign host.

Port 993 is IMAPs, and a plaintext connection will not work. If you're using telnet, try port 143.
