Default ZCS 4.5.6 to 5.0 Migration Test Question

We have built a test server and restored our production 4.5.6 NE backups to this test server.

We now want to test doing an in-place upgrade of Zimbra 4.5.6 to 5.0.

But we have 4.5.6 NE, and there is only 5.0 b3 OSS.

Before we try this, is this a valid test case?

Thanks,
Mark

Yes, it's valid but you'll obviously end up with an OSS version. The NE RC1 will be here shortly (no firm date yet), you could wait for that perhaps.

We are not so worried about the features at the moment, we just want to make sure that an in-place upgrade from 4.5.6 to 5.0 with real data works OK for us.

The next step after the above is to do the 32-bit SLES9 Zimbra 5.0 backup and restore to a 64-bit SLES10 Zimbra 5.0 environment.

Thanks,
Mark
