I just upgraded from 4.5.6 to 4.5.7, specifically I am now running 4.5.7_GA_1319.RHEL4_64_20070914213443 CentOS4_64 FOSS edition.
Things went smooth and there were no errors during the upgrade.
Only problem I have come across so far is that when I log in as admin and check service status, stats service is showing as not running ( red X graphic next to the service ).
Interestingly:
[zimbra@zcs ~]$ zmcontrol status
Host mail.foo.bar
antispam Running
antivirus Running
imapproxy Running
ldap Running
logger Running
mailbox Running
mta Running
snmp Running
spell Running
stats Running
I found a thread
ZCS_5.0beta2 'Stats' Service where people discussed stats service issues on 5.0 beta which has the same symptoms as my issue, albeit involving a different ZCS version.
The symlink solution they suggested here
centos 5 zimbra 4.5.6 no statistics I don't think is relevant to my system because the two directories they link together in that solution already exist on my system and are populated.

In my zimbra.log I see weird things happening in relation to the stats service.
without any errors, it sometimes shows as running and sometimes shows as stopped. I have run
tail -f /var/log/zimbra.log and captured the output over a period of several minutes. It will show stats: Running and stats: Stopped at will.
Here's an excerpt, I only removed lines relating to mail delivery from the log:

Has anyone else upgraded their 4.5.6 to 4.5.7 and seen the same issue ? Any ideas where to look next ?
Edit: I tried service zimbra stop;service zimbra start. I also rebooted the server to no avail. Since posting this thread, I am still monitoring zimbra.log and it's now consistently showing stats: Stopped every single time.
