as zimbra user run 'crontab -e'

and add this

Code:
# Status logging
#
#*/2 * * * * /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmstatuslog
#
*/2 * * * *  source ~/.bashrc ; LANG=C /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmstatuslog
*/10 * * * * /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmdisklog
#
#
That should fix everything right up.

This thread turns out to be substantially more informative than Bug 17977, though.

I'm thinking 4.5.7 OS isn't ready for prime time, at least on Ubuntu. While upgrading from 4.5.6 OS on my existing server I first ran into the ldap start failure (apparently it didn't stop the previous ldap service correctly but I found a way around this in another thread). Then I ran into the stats service not starting and the Mail Queues being inaccessible in the admin UI. Using zmcontrol to stop and start the services would result in most of services failing to start and only restarted (expect for stats) upon a reboot. This last issue is a show stopped since the services are stopped each night to ensure a clean backup and then restarted.

I've gone through 4 upgrades without any problems until 4.5.7. I've rolled back to 4.5.6 OS and will forgo the 4.5.7 upgrade until a stable Ubuntu version is released.

The fix for the stats will now be making it into a 4.5 release:

It'll be fixed in 4.5.9.

FOSS users,
4.5.8 has been found to contain part of a fix for Bug 17977 - Server Status in admin console shows incorrect info.
/forums/installation/11991-strange-fix-stats.html
/forums/announcements/11976-zcs-4-5-8-open-source-update.html

However, please be advised that at present you cannot go from 4.5.8 > 5.0RC1_1538
This will be fixed in 5.0RC2 /forums/installation/11947-upgrade-4-5-8-5-0-rc1-does-not-work.html

NE users,
As noted one post prior, 4.5.9 will be released in both FOSS & NE versions and should contain this stats fix

Hi,

Even after updating to 4.5.8 today I am still seeing this and none of the workarounds here seem to work. This is a Centos 4.5 network edition install.

So any eta ON 4.5.9 ??

Thanks,

Francesca

May I ask how you accomplished that? 4.5.8 was released in FOSS only...

As a side note: This bug was intended to be solved in 4.5.9 for both FOSS & NE but a few minor things slipped in that solved it for a few people on 4.5.8 FOSS)

no sweat - except for the minute where you must have gone 'crap did I just install FOSS over NE?' -lol

Several things to help you keep track:

See what RFE's & Bugs are going into what versions via PMWeb
(A timeline of dates for releases is also there as well, but please don't rely on it to be updated constantly - it's updated about every week or so.)

RSS or Feedburner emails on the /blog

Newsletter: /alerts/index.html

Watch the section of the forums for stuff like that /forums/announcements

We upgraded to 4.5.9 from 4.5.7 last Friday and we still do not see any of the stats in the admin console showing up.

I thought this was fixed in 4.5.9?

Thanks,
Matt
