Default Local Deliver Probs

I have internal messages being deferred with the error: host mx.wharchs.com [66.166.67.51] said: 451 4.0.0 temporary message delivery failure. try again (in reply to end of data command)

I have a feeling my hosts file needs adjusting. I have two nics to the internal network, and two to the outside world. My hosts file includes:
======================
127.0.0.1 localhost
66.166.67.52 webmail2.wharchs.com
192.168.1.214 webmailint.wharchs.com webmail
192.168.1.215 webmailint2.wharchs.com
66.166.67.51 webmail.wharchs.com
======================
My DNS has mx.wharchs.com = 66.166.67.51

Should I be changing the last line of my hosts file to mx.wharchs.com?

TIA

No, you should change the hosts file so it matches the example in the Quick Start Installation Guide, you should also set-up a Split DNS system. Search the forums for further hints and troubleshooting steps.

OK, so it should be exactly this, assuming the MX record in DNS points to mx.wharchs.com?:

Quote:
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
192.168.1.214 mx.wharchs.com mx
Sorry - I was confused about 'localdomain' being literal in the examples...

TIA

If your Zimbra server has an FQDN of
Code:
mx.wharchs.com
then, yes, that's correct. You also need the split DNS behind a router so the IP address will get resolved correctly.
