    Welcome to the forums drewdown,
Having 4 threads all over the place was confusing, I have combined your posts (they are sorted by timestamp) because it is way too confusing for us to see what'd your doing across different threads.

In regards to your 'hosts not found', could you elaborate on your DNS setup? ie: I'd like to know if your running a split dns or not.

    Also post your:
    /etc/hosts
    &
    /etc/resolv.conf

Yeah I figured that out already. Thanks for your help.

I had the local IP as the DNS server, changed it to my local DNS server and I can send internally and externally, so once I changed that everything appears to be working now.

    Code:
    root@mailone:/home/admin# cat /etc/hosts
    127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost mailone.xxxxx.local
    xx.xx.xx.xx MAILONE.xxxxx.local MAILONE
    Code:
    root@mailone:/home/admin# cat /etc/resolv.conf
    search xxxxx.local
nameserver xx.xx.xx.xx (local DNS server IP)
    Thanks to both of you.

I made sure everything was correct. I can resolve names on the internet without fail, however when I do an nslookup xxxx.local I get this returned, IP is local IP of the zimbra box.

    Code:
    admin@mailone:~$ nslookup xxxxx.local
    Server: 172.23.18.29
    Address: 172.23.18.29#53

    ** server can't find xxxxx.local: NXDOMAIN
