-rwxr-xr-x 1 zimbra zimbra 7446788 Apr 26 08:41 libphp5.so
I see the libphp5.so in "bold" on my terminal.
Honestly, I have no idea what that means in this situation.

Does anyone have any idea whats going on, or better yet, how to fix it?

Thanks!

Do you have selinux enabled? (This should be off -not just warning mode- fully disabled)
Find it via the installed packages list, or something like /etc/sysconfig/selinux

Once you had gotten all your settings worked out (selinux off & reboot) sometimes it's better to start with a clean reinstall (follow the UnInstall Zimbra - ZimbraWiki directions first)

Yeah, googled some more and started seeing references to SELinux being the culprit.

Can anyone comment on the compatibility issues with SELinux being dealt with down the line?

I'm currently trying to reinstall after turning off SELinux in /etc/selinux/config and rebooting, and uninstalling zimbra.

thanks.

Well, that does it.

If you have RHEL5 and see the libphp5.so errors, disable SELinux.

Zimbra started up just fine.

Thanks for the help.

That's a common one

It's just easier not to deal with SE Linux but if your interested-the RFE Bug 16407 - Support SE Linux (selinux)
