Default Zimbra Commands Not Found

I have Zimbra installed - and webmail works great. We are working to get the pop an imap configurations working. I log into the administration section and I have made the changes to turn on pop and imap.

I have tried to restart the server using zmcontrol, but the command is not found on my server, neither is the zmmailbox control.

Can anyone help me understand why these commands aren't working and if there is an alternative way to restart my zimbra so the changes are applied?

Thanks!

You don't need to turn pop or IMAP on, you've probably enabled Perdition (the proxy), search the wiki for 'perdition' and details on how to disable it.

To run any of the Zimbra command you need to 'su - zimbra' in a terminal then run the commands. Check the documentation or wiki for the commands.
