    Question [SOLVED] Tomcat Problems

I've had Zimbra OSS v4.5.5 on Ubuntu6.x working very well for a while now. On Friday I had to physically move the server, just across the room to another rack, Now on boot up & after checking zmcontrol status I get 'tomcat not running'. everything else seems fine. I've checked that root/su zimbra permissions are corrrect as suggested in the wiki. This was working perfectly before shutdown now i can't get tomcat to restart even after 'tomcat start' as zimbra user. any clue's anyone. I need to get access to my email!!

Got some log output for us?
    /opt/zimbra/tomcat/logs/catalina.out
    /opt/zimbra/log/mailbox.log

    Also glance through /var/log/zimbra.log

Try rerunning the installer using the -s option.

Your catalina.out shows this (as the last entry):

    Code:
Zimbra server reserving server socket port=110 bindaddr=null ssl=false
Fatal error: terminating: PrivilegedServlet init failed
    java.net.BindException: Address already in use
    	at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.socketBind(Native Method)
    	at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.bind(PlainSocketImpl.java:359)
Have you got something else running on port 110 or is the perdition (proxy) service running? Check it out with these details in the wiki.
    Regards

    true-
    I was talking about:
    Code:
com.zimbra.common.service.ServiceException: system failure: Extension HTTP handler not found at /zimbrasync
    	at com.zimbra.common.service.ServiceException.FAILURE(ServiceException.java:175)
    	at com.zimbra.cs.extension.ExtensionDispatcherServlet.getHandler(ExtensionDispatcherServlet.java:146)
    	at com.zimbra.cs.extension.ExtensionDispatcherServlet.service(ExtensionDispatcherServlet.java:99)
    	at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:802)
but what Bill said should fix your issue. Don't know why Zimbrasync fails.
